6th International Vintage Glider Meeting "Luigi Teichfuss"
It has just ended, with great success and satisfaction of the organizers, the 6th International Vintage Glider Meeting in memory of Luigi Teichfuss, carried out at the airport Paolucci in Pavullo nel Frignano from 14th to 22nd June 2013.
After an endless winter and a spring completely missed, the summer finally arrived, just in time to allow the meeting to take place in the best possible weather conditions. A truly international gathering, with 16 vintage gliders in wood and fabric or tubes and fabric, coming from Denmark, France, Germany Holland and Switzerland.
About sixty people were present in the field, including pilots, flight attendants and fans, partly accommodated with their campers in an area adjacent to the airport and others staying in a small hotel in Gaiato. Among these people some couples from Belgium, England and the United States.
Huge crowds, especially model builders, busy with their cameras to capture even the smallest details of those wonderful vintage sailplanes. Good hospitality from the Aero Club Pavullo and great efficiency of the organization team in the field. Much appreciated by the foreign participants the nice evenings in pleasant company, with gastronomic specialties of the region Emilia, served abundantly with the sparkling wine "Lambrusco".
Flying safely every day with 62 aero tows made with a French aircraft type DynAéro MCR 180R, 180HP with 5-blade and 101 launches with the winch.
