VGC Rally in Tibenham (UK)
The annual Rally organized by the Vintage Glider Club (VGC) was held in England this year from the 31st July to 7th August, forcing most European participants to cross the Channel with their gliders in tow of their cars. For someone, it was a long journey, but eventually all agreed: "It was worth it."
An overall estimate indicates that half of the participants were British
and half the rest of Europe. Actually it was not ever seen so many vintage
British gliders in the VGC Rally. But let's see some numbers. The gliders
officially registered and enrolled in the demonstration were 96, but we
could say that in the field were over one hundred vintage gliders including
the gliders belonging to the club of Tibenham and therefore not necessarily
registered
